Built for Champions: Ready for the Golden Spike 

The timing was no coincidence. The new track surface will take centre stage at the upcoming 64th Golden Spike meeting on June 24, 2025 – one of Europe’s most prestigious athletics events and part of the World Athletics Continental Tour – Gold. 

Ostrava will welcome some of the world’s biggest names in sport, including: 

• Armand Duplantis (Pole Vault World Record Holder) 

• Neeraj Chopra (Olympic Champion – Javelin) 

• Grant Holloway, Alica Schmidt, Gout Gout, and many more 

With over 12,000 spectators expected and broadcasts reaching 140+ countries, this isn’t just a local event – it’s a global stage. And CONICA is proud to be part of it. 

Performance Delivered – Against the Clock and the Weather 

This project wasn’t just fast. It was intense. 

Despite frequent heavy rain – almost every second day – the installation team worked efficiently and precisely to complete the surface on time and to world-class standards. Up to 40 professionals were on-site during the most demanding phases, ensuring that quality was never compromised.
