The globally active manufacturer of high-performance sports flooring systems is looking back at a record year in 2021. \u201cWe are very proud to have exceeded the CHF 100 million sales mark for the first time despite a very challenging market environment. This is primarily due to the flexibility of the entire organization. The high expectations of our customers in terms of quality and service were always met,\u201d says CEO Chirag Shah, describing the past year and clearly focusing on the team performance of all employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high quality of CONICA\u2019s sports running tracks is highly appreciated by athletes, event organizers and associations. A close cooperation with the German Athletics Association (DLV) was also established in 2021. Further partnerships in the field of running track research and development are planned to ensure that CONICA remains the innovation leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the outstanding successes was that the final of the Diamond League was held in Zurich\u2019s Letzigrund Stadium on the newly installed CONIPUR Vmax track. For this event CONICA built the world\u2019s longest mobile track in Z\u00fcrich city center, which surely did not fail to please the crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the future, CEO Chirag Shah is focusing on global expansion. \u201cIn 2022, we are setting our focus very clearly on international expansion in the sports and leisure sector, where we still see a lot of potential to gain further market shares with our superior products.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To underline this strategy, Conica Group\u2019s Board of Directors (BoD) has decided to add the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to the management team. As Conica\u2019s first female Chief Commercial Officer, Lara Guillod will bundle all activities in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Product Development as of March 01, 2022. She has held various positions at CONICA since 2015 \u2013 most recently as Head of Product & Business Development \u2013 thus having several years of experience in the sports & leisure industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Simon Broesamle, member of the BoD: \u201cThe CCO is an ideal partner for our CEO and we are convinced that this powerful combination will achieve our ambitious growth plan \u2013 that could also include further acquisitions. \u00a0Lara Guillod adds, \u201cI am excited about the new challenge and grateful for the trust given to me, I am convinced that I can use my many years of experience to drive CONICA forward. The goals for 2022 are ambitious but we are very well prepared for them, both on the product side and in terms of personnel and corporate structure.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONICA has been one of the market leaders and innovation drivers in its segment for over 40 years. The company develops and produces jointless floor surfaces based on polyurethane and epoxy resins for sports, games, leisure and other areas.
