CONIPUR 210 – The Proven Solution for Textured Athletics and Sports Surfaces
7. August 2025
CONIPUR 210 is a solvent-free, elastic self-levelling polyurethane coating designed for use in structured sports flooring systems. It combines long-term durability with ease of application and excellent mechanical properties. Whether for new installations or surface refurbishment, CONIPUR 210 delivers consistent performance across a wide range of climates and project requirements.
Versatile Applications in High-Performance Sports Flooring
CONIPUR 210 is used globally in sports facilities of all kinds – from athletics tracks and run-up zones to multifunctional fields, school sports areas, and ball courts. It is typically applied within full PU or sandwich systems, then broadcast with EPDM or rubber granules to form a textured, slip-resistant surface that offers optimal grip and comfort.
It is also an effective choice for re-topping aged polyurethane surfaces, allowing existing installations to be renewed without a complete rebuild.

Reliable Performance – Durable, Safe, and Easy to Apply
This two-component coating system is characterised by a long working time, uniform curing behaviour, and reliable processing – even under challenging site conditions. It offers dependable performance with good moisture tolerance during curing, reducing the risk of surface defects in variable weather conditions.
Once fully cured, CONIPUR 210 offers:
- High mechanical strength
- Excellent elasticity
- Outstanding abrasion and wear resistance
- long-term durability in outdoor environments
Application remains stable in ambient temperatures between 10 °C and 40 °C. The desired layer thickness is controlled via notched trowel or rake, followed by immediate broadcasting with granules of suitable grading.
Surface Performance Meets Structural Strength – Interaction with CONIPUR 322
When used to build a sandwich system, CONIPUR 210 delivers the visible and tactile surface properties required for safe and comfortable play. In combination with CONIPUR 322 as the elastic base binder, the system achieves both excellent surface performance and structural stability.
CONIPUR 322 ensures a strong, cohesive base layer, while CONIPUR 210 provides the functional top surface – textured, robust, and ready for use. The result is a high-performance surface system that meets both technical and practical demands.
Application on Multiple Substrates
CONIPUR 210 can be applied to various substrates. On asphalt, it can be installed directly without a primer. On concrete, a primer such as CONIPUR 74 is required. Existing PU layers or trowelled rubber surfaces can typically be recoated without additional priming, depending on the system used and surface condition.
The substrate must be dry, sound, and free from any contaminants such as oils, dust, or release agents. Residual moisture should not exceed 4%, and the surface temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
Solvent-Free and Compliant
CONIPUR 210 is solvent-free and complies with EU Directive 2004/42/EC. In its fully cured state, the product is physiologically harmless. Standard safety measures for polyurethane systems should be observed during processing, as outlined in the safety data sheets.
